Faith in the world

There are days when I wonder what is wrong with this world. However, last night while watching the track events, my faith in humanity was restored. A crowd of 70,000 roared during the 400 meter semi-final race. Were the cheering for the winner? No, they were cheering for Oscar Pistorius, the last place finisher who happen to be a double amputee. Oscar is the first amputee to compete in an Olympic event. I had chills watching the event unfold.

After Oscar crossed the finish line, Kirani James of Grenada, approached Oscar to trade race bibs. What a class act.

In a world with so much wrong, it is nice to see something that is so right.
