Phone Dump and a good run

I finally had a good run on Friday. You know, one of those runs where you look down and you’re already another mile down. I planned on running 3, but once I got to 2ish I was feeling so good I decided to keep on goin’. At 3.5 I was still rocking along, but decided to stop at 4 miles. Ever since I told my husband about the 10% Golden Rule, he is always on me. Probably because I am so miserable (to be around) when I hurt myself and can’t run. I finished feeling strong and proud of myself.

Tomorrow is the start of my Rock ‘n’ Roll Seattle Marathon training plan. I am still working on getting it together, but I have the first few weeks figured out.

I took this picture on a walk with the puppies. First, note that HUGE hill. Most of our area is like this. When we were looking for houses, we actually refused to look at a few because we didn’t want to deal with the cliff they were built on. The main reason I took the picture was to show my mom how packed the houses are. Because we are surrounded by water, everything is built as close as they could get it. They also don’t have zoning in Bremerton so houses are mixed in with businesses. It is really strange. Luckily, we were able to find a house in a neighborhood area.

A perk of deployments and living with color blind roommates – when you are cold you can just keep layering clothes of different patterns and colors. photo 2 (1) photo 1 (1)
