15 Weeks

Smooth sailing into week 15. I’m feeling great other than being tired all the time. I could literally sleep 1/2 the day away and then sleep a full night. Exercise makes me feel awake (and proud of my body) but runs are always followed by a nap. This week I got in 13.75 miles, which is the most I’ve run in one week since finding out I was pregnant. My pace is also picking back up so I don’t feel so lame getting passed by old people at the gym like in the first trimester.

I find myself researching baby stuff every free moment – bouncy seats, structured carriers, car seat covers oh my! The hubs and I did buy two boxes of diapers this weekend after reading a blog post about ways to save money on baby. We have our estimated diaper quantity by size and what price range is a good deal in our phones so we are constantly calculating the cost per diaper. I found a coupon for Huggies which made the price a go so we jumped on it.

How Far Along: 15 weeks

About the Baby:
The size of a navel orange (4.5 in, 2-3 oz)
Ears have moved to the side of the head and the eyes are making their way to the front of the face. Baby can now make breathing movements and wiggle fingers and toes.

Maternity Clothes:  Not because I need to, but I was given a ton of clothes from my very fashionable friend so I’ve been wearing them because they are just cute. I can still fit into my jeans (except after dinner when they get unbuttoned). Dresses are my go-to right now.
Sleep: Okay. I get up at least once a night to use the potty. My back is also starting to get really achy, but I think it is from only being able to side sleep.
Best Moment:  Friends noticing my tiny little bump.
Food Cravings: Oranges and hamburgers. Not together, but I wouldn’t be opposed to that.
Belly Button: In
Wedding Rings: On
What I Miss: Food I never really thought was that awesome until now when I can’t have it.
What I’m Looking Forward To: Getting to hear the baby’s heartbeat at the next appointment and booking the 20 week ultrasound so we can find out what baby is.
